About EcoLearn Connecticut
Peter Swierczynski, a Wilton High School student in the class of 2026, founded the 501(c)(3) environmental education nonprofit EcoLearn CT to address the gap in sustainable living awareness across local Connecticut communities. Being deeply passionate about his home state, Peter created a professionally designed Connecticut-themed sustainability board game as a fun and accessible way to introduce environmental concepts to people of all ages. By distributing copies of the board game to libraries, senior living centers, schools, and families, Peter hopes to expand environmental education and inspire anyone who plays his game to become more engaged in helping Connecticut build a more sustainable future.

Meet Peter Swierczynski
Founder and Director of EcoLearn CT
“Providing lasting educational tools on sustainability is my mission.”
Peter has many hobbies in his day-to-day life. Competing in sports such as judo is his favorite activity, along with cooking home-cooked meals and always trying something new. He is also a self-driven environmental advocate who shares his work on his blog, petersearthnotebook.com. Outside of athletics and environmental work, Peter loves weightlifting with friends, continues learning to play the electric guitar, and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, especially hiking and exploring the natural spaces around Connecticut and national parks during the summer. Peter strongly believes that a real connection to the environment begins with simply appreciating it; this belief inspires his efforts to continue working on and growing EcoLearn CT beyond high school.
